spring 2006, we found a very little shore house, 330 square feet, or 450 square feet if you count the sleeping loft. located on a barrier island in southern new jersey. the old cottage was a wood structure and was in an advanced state of deterioration, so renovations had to be made. sketching began. working with just the original foundation as a foot-print and the roof remaining as the only salvageable framework, everything in-between had to be rebuilt.
